Study first

Review the ideas behind the questions

These notes help you diagnose simple Meta delivery blockers before changing budget or rebuilding the campaign. Focus on status at each level, review signals, and whether the ad can be previewed correctly.

Read the status at the right level

Campaigns, ad sets, and ads each have status fields, so a delivery check should not look at only one row.

  • A campaign-level status can affect everything below it.
  • Ad set status matters because the ad set controls delivery settings such as schedule and targeting.
  • Ad status matters because the final ad still needs a usable creative and review state.

Separate selected status from delivery reality

The status a user selects is not always the full delivery answer.

  • Configured status is the status set on the object.
  • Effective status is the status that reflects whether the object can actually serve after related conditions are considered.
  • If the effective status is not active, inspect the blocker before changing spend.

Check issues and previews

Beginner checks should catch obvious delivery and creative-readiness problems before the campaign reaches a larger audience.

  • Issue fields can point to problems that need review.
  • An ad creative should be connected to the ad.
  • A preview helps confirm the ad is renderable before launch.
