Study first

Review the ideas behind the questions

These notes help you spot account and permission issues before a LinkedIn Ads launch. Focus on who has access, whether the Page is connected, and whether the account can pay for ads.

Set up the ad account first

The ad account is the workspace where permissions, payment, shared assets, and account-level settings live.

  • An ad account is required before creating ads in Campaign Manager.
  • The account can control who creates ads or views campaign performance.
  • For full Campaign Manager features, the LinkedIn Page should be associated with the ad account.

Give people the right roles

A person may need both ad account access and LinkedIn Page access to create or sponsor ads.

  • Campaign manager, account manager, and billing admin roles can create ad sets or ads.
  • Creative manager access can create or edit ads in existing ad sets.
  • Super admin, content admin, or Sponsored Content poster access is needed on the associated Page for ad creation or sponsoring Page content.

Check payment before launch

Payment setup and billing holds can stop ads from running even when the campaign setup looks ready.

  • A payment method must be added before ads can run in a new account.
  • An account on hold will not run ads until the hold is removed.
  • Only the billing admin can add or update credit card information.

Reviewed against current official LinkedIn Help, Marketing Solutions Help, and Corporate Billing Help pages for ad account setup, user roles, Page permissions, payment setup, and account hold behavior. Sources were selected because they directly support access and billing readiness decisions, not because prior LinkedIn Ads quizzes used them.

The source pages for this edition were checked as part of the same review. Official product docs are linked where available.
